natalia's megaphone

Natalia, Leigh

I like the idea of a community run space for everyone to have a part in and be satisfied with. A space for creativity and freedom but also supporting small local businesses.

Abandoned buildings that aren't being sold could be taken by the council and turned into community art centres. We could put gardens or parks on roofs of buildings to use that space which would otherwise be wasted. Adding vines or climbing plants to the buildings which could make the air cleaner. Concerts and film screenings could happen in these places, which would be good especially for indie musicians and filmmakers.
